Engineers Engaging for Process Simulation
6/17/2016 |
The Workshop on Process Simulation, initialized a. o. by INOSIM, meanwhile has become a fix element of innovation in the process engineering scene. Its third meeting was held in Stuttgart, Germany, on 6/9/2016. The meeting, this time led by M&W Central Europe in Stuttgart, was rich of well-known names from process industries, among them Bayer, Chemgineering, Clariant, Covestro, CSL Behring, infraServ Knappsack, INOSIM Consulting GmbH, M+W Central Europe, and Worlée. In an atmosphere of cooperation, the first topic was the establishing of a new, generic specification for the performance of simulation projects, which was furthermore concretized and filled with life. The meeting then focused on the undertaking of learning more about the multitude of simulation tools applied in process industries, exploring the scope of operation as well as the limits of the single tools, so that a first evaluation would become possible. Those visitors which apply commercial or in-house simulation tools in their companies presented them to the Workshop. The subjects were:
The expert lectures lighted up the presented tools and their potentials and limits in practise. In the end, everybody agreed: The Workshop is a real benefit for the involved engineers and production managers! |
