At this year´s “Ascension Day Meeting” by DECHEMA (5/22-24/2017) more than 200 visitors had followed the invitation. About 150 of them came from science, but many participants from industry were also around. Among them was INOSIM, presenting two subjects at the poster show:
  1. Building A More Sustainable Future – Simulation-Based!
  2. From Process Design to Batch Production: Simulation-Based Management of Large-Scale Bioprocesses

Many visitors came to the poster show to benefit from expert information. By our first poster, they learned more about simulation-supported Scale-Up (by the example of an innovative process concept to accessing woody biomass, from pilot plant to mini plant scale with the help of process simulation software INOSIM Process Edition).

Our second poster informed about material flow analysis aiming to identify bottlenecks within a batch plant as well as in the logistical and disposal chains. This gave opportunity to learn more about the potential of process simulation software INOSIM Plant Edition through examples from process engineering.

Our technology partner ProSim SA from Labège, France, was also represented at the Meeting. Dr. Gabriel Turzo informed the audience about “Modeling of complex bio systems using BatchReactor”.

Katrin Brandt, INOSIM Project Manager, enjoyed the multitude of visitors at the poster show and appreciated the great exchange between academia and industry at this meeting. Further information on the event is available on the homepage of the meeting.
